The Project of Soil and Groundwater Pollution Emergency and Pollutant Verification in Taoyuan County

The Project aimed to investigate and verify soil and groundwater pollution emergency, contamination sites, and support the actual needs. The project afforded the expenses which were due to actual works. The project time limit was twelve months (from 11/01/2006 to 10/31/2007). The Information of this project was summarized in table 1. The budget implementation of the project plan completed, and funding for some cost overruns would be absorbed. A.The contamination verification The project conduct eleven sites in total, including, “parcel No. 827 and 828 in Zhonghua Section Bade City”, “DYnamic Electronics Co., Ltd.”, “the farmland outside the Xin-rong Steel Co., Ltd.”, “parcel No. 477-1 in Shangyinyingwo Section Yangmei Town”, ”Jhongli Industrial Park”, ……etc. The Investigation and assessment results were summarized in table 2. B.The contamination emergency support 1.The verification of contamination Sites The four contamination Sites, including: National Petroleum Corporation Da-Xi gas station, Shan-loong Transportation Co. Ltd. Bade gas staton, Tao-ying gas station, Achem Technology Corporation Facility in Taiwan, have been remediation completed. 2.Public petition cases There were five Sites of the public petition cases, including: the farmland in Shang-Lin Village Long-tan Township, Jiannanhe Plant in Long-tan Township, the private well in Sha-lun Section Da-yuan Township, the farmland in Jia-lu-keng Section Gui-shan Township. In addition to detection of non-control plasticizer compounds in Jia-lu-keng Section Gui-shan Township, the other sites, there were no abnormal test results. 3.The other works The works including the inspection of 3 Sites, RCA Site, the private wells outside the Guang-xing gas station and Mech-president Corp. Lung-tan second gas station, class A site in Hai-hu village Lu-chu Township. RCA groundwater monitoring results show that 1,1-dichloroethylene, TCE, PCE, vinyl chloride still exceeded the Groundwater Control Standards. There were no abnormal test results in the other sites.
